Mission Overview

July 2010, two trucks with six people will swing out onto a highway heading east.

By the end of the first stage of our journey we will have covered fifteen thousand miles in six months – from Europe to East Asia.

We will be carrying out a number of projects aimed at understanding the changing landscapes and cultures. Recording our own journey, researching the stories of people we meet and asking others to capture images of their lives around them…
Along the way, liaising with groups and individuals, small exhibitions will be staged; primarily photography with text; there could also be workshops, film nights and slideshows, music, talks and presentations - all tailored to local requirements.

The media presented, then, will be in three parts:

But there are no set rules here

- the priority is to present the opportunities for communities to interact and for us to learn from this.

In addition, we’ll be working with local TV networks as well as having an interactive website in order to increase access and participation in local areas and around the world.

The final aim is for communities, groups and individuals, who might struggle to have a global voice, to have contact with each other - to interact, share knowledge and experiences – to promote planet-wide thinking and global understanding.
